On Saturday, June 12, Southern Cancer Center was proud to be a sponsor of the Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation’s 2nd Annual Masquerade Ball, held at the Daphne Civic Center. Over 200 patients and supporters from across the Gulf Coast helped “mask out” cancer for one night at this fundraising event, celebrating local cancer survivors and those still fighting. Attendees feasted on local cuisine and spirits, danced to the beat of the Cool Rayz Band, and enjoyed an always-entertaining live auction.

Southern Cancer Center physicians and staff showed up for the event in a big way. Dr. Michael Meshad, Dr. Brian Heller, Dr. Reece Jones, and Dr. Brittany Case masked up and attended with their lovely spouses; while numerous members of our management team, clinical staff, nurse practitioners, and administration joined in the fun as well. Thank you to Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation and the Masquerade Ball Committee for this amazing event. We cannot wait to see it grow and continue to prosper for many years to come.

The Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation is a community-based nonprofit foundation dedicated to patient assistance and community education while improving the health and wellness of the residents they serve in the Gulf Coast region. With generous support from the local community, ACCF is able to help qualified patients by providing such financial relief as assistance with a utility bill, aid for prescription co-pays, transportation to and from treatment, and the purchase of necessary medical supplies. Learn more about the Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation here.
